Q: I am totally new to investing, so is Value Investing Almanack for me?
A: Yes. We have designed this newsletter keeping both a beginner and experienced investor in mind. It will help you learn all the important concepts required to become a sensible, independent, and successful long-term investor.
Q: I am an NRI, can I subscribe to this newsletter?
A: Yes, since this is an online newsletter, you can join and access it from anywhere in the world.
Q: Will you recommend specific stocks in Value Investing Almanck?
A: I hope you will find that your time and money is profitably spent on this newsletter; but we want to add that the purpose of this newsletter is to provide illustrative examples and discussions in value investing only, and not to supply practical ideas for stock market operations. We will cover a lot of analyses on real-life listed Indian companies, but that will be purely from an educational perspective.
Q: What are the details of my subscription to Value Investing Almanck?
A: All the content for the Value Investing Almanack will be delivered via encrypted PDFs – the opening, viewing, and printing of which will require you to download and install a LockLizard Viewer and a valid license to your PCs.
The licensed read-only access to encrypted content will be available to you only during the term of the subscription and will expire with the expiration of the subscription. In other words, you will not be able to read the issues that you receive during your subscription term, after your term expires. But you can always print each issue (maximum 2 prints per issue) and read them even after your subscription expires.
Q: How many issues will I receive through my subscription to Value Investing Almanack?
A: It’s a monthly newsletter. So, if you subscribe for 6 months, you will receive 6 issues. If you subscribe for 12-months, you will receive 12 issues. If you subscribe within 15 days from the update of an issue, it would be counted as your first of the six or twelve issues. For example, if you sign up between 16th and 30th of March, the issue of 15th March will be counted as your first issue. But if you sign up on 31st March, your first issue will be that of 15th April.
Q: How frequently would I receive the newsletter issues?
A: You will receive an issue in the middle of every month, ideally on the 15th of every month.
Q: What will be the format of the an edition?
A: All newsletter issues will be delivered in encrypted PDF format only. In order to open these encrypted PDF files, you will require a LockLizard viewer (available as a free download here) and a valid license. After you download your viewer, simply activate your license by double clicking on it. That is all there is to it. You will then be able to open the encrypted PDF files containing our content with the viewer just as you would any regular PDF.
Q: How will I know of a new issue?
A: You will get intimation for each issue through email.
Q: What will be the language used?
A: The entire newsletter will be in English language. We will try to make the communication as simple as possible, so you don’t face any hassle while understanding the language used.
Q: Can I share the newsletter with others?
A: Please don’t! Value Investing Almanack is a members-only newsletter, and thus private to just the members who have paid to access the same. Please do not share the newsletter with others, neither share the content with anyone else.

A: Sorry, there will not be any refund.
Q: How do I open a PDC file?

You will need to be online to do the registration.

A: You must be connected when you initialize your license. And you may have to be connected the first time you open a specific PDC file. In other situations, a grace period may apply during which time you may not need Internet connectivity.
Q: When I try to open an edition, a message says that my authorization has expired. What does that mean?
A: This will usually be because your subscription has expired In that case, when you renew, your access will be restored. If you believe you are getting this message in error, contact us.

A: No, it is not possible to copy and paste VIA content.
